FAQ

Why Do You Need My Address?

Our Quarterlies are print magazines that get mailed right to your door! So, we need to know where to send you your complimentary copy should your submission get selected for any complimentary print issues. Some submissions only receive digital entries.

Will I Get My Submission Back?

Nope! We trust you have a handy digital copy saved somewhere other than in our submission form. We will not be returning submissions, nor will we provide specific feedback for submissions.

Does It Have To Be a Christian Submission?

\While Redeemed Reader is a Christian organization that serves Christian parents and educators, we often review books that are not "Christian books." Your submission does not need to be about God, the Bible, or something else overtly Christian; however, it should conform to biblical content standards and be respectful of God, his people, and his world.

Does My Poem Have to Rhyme?

Not at all. You are welcome to submit rhyming poems, poems with a defined meter (iambic, etc.), formal poetry (such as a haiku or sonnet), free verse, blank verse—whatever form you enjoy most.

I'm a Teacher. Can I submit one submission from each of my students?

What a lovely idea! You may certainly encourage your entire class to participate, but it would be best if each student entered his or her own submission through the form. You may certainly contact us with your specific situation if that would be helpful.

Can I Submit Something That I Wrote Last Year?

Absolutely! Please enter it into the appropriate age category according to how old you were when you wrote it.

Can I Submit More Than One Entry?

Of course! We recommend limiting yourself to your absolute best content, perhaps no more than five.

Can I Submit Something I Wrote For Another Outlet?

Absolutely—unless it has been previously published in print. You may submit something you wrote for a school assignment, a state fair contest, another online writing contest, a poem for your grandmother, an ode to the library for your library's summer reading contest, ... the sky's the limit. As long as the piece is your own original work and it hasn't been previously published in print, you may submit it.
