    Hi Betsy,

I came upon your engaging site as I was researching Meghan Cox Gurdon. Her book The Enchanted Hour greatly interests and moves me. Let me clarify by telling you that I am a retired doctor and new author, but my ministry deals with faith and health—not with children.

The reason I’m writing you and am interested in Gurdon is the remarkable 7-year experience I have had reading books via video chat to my grandchildren in Italy. The benefits to all of us have been dramatic. I wrote an essay about this experience, including the details of exactly how you do it and the rewards—and am trying to get it published. I sent it to the AARP Magazine, but this is a long shot. I just want more readers, especially grandparents, to realize how valuable this experience is in so many ways. Would you be interested to have a Back Porch Book Chat about this? Or, do you have any other ideas how to get this idea out into the world.

    Thanks so much.

    Donna Chacko
